Thanks Doug! I can't wait either...but I'll have to. And, I think it will be worth the wait.

I guess it's time to update my thread with some "gloss". Here's a few shots that make me smile...

Mike, that looks sensational! Love the endgraft in particular, it contrasts beautifully

Jon, Thanks for the kind words. This one is turning out to have a bit more "bling" than I had originally envisioned, but there's no denying that the wood choices are spot on with what I had hoped for.

I really like the strip of abalone inlayed into the back strip! Nice touch for sure!

Here's a sneak peak at the headstock. I've decided to use some Gold Waverlys on this one.

John sent me some pictures to update me on the progress of my build. Well, you could say there certainly has been some progress. In fact, this little baby is coming out of the incubator and HOME soon .

Here's a few he sent:

The Memphis show had something for everyone. For me, a lot of great memories and inspirations, a few new friends, and a finished and absolutely AMAZING instrument. Great thanks to John for doing such a fabulous job of building me a stellar guitar. And the tone, well...I guess when you use Alpine Spruce and Brazilian in the same sentence, not much more needs to be said. But I think John's work made it extra special.
