Hey thanks David but the compliments for creativity of design goes to Mary for those elements. I am just taken to task to build what she sketches ... Good thing that I enjoy a challenge from time to time.

Well, "huh" again. I'm still not recalling those fit-in-the-45-hole adaptors; all I'm remembering are the more solid, taller, round kind that slipped over the spindle and stayed there. And, come to think of it, why in heavens name would they create 45-rpm records with a large hole when 78- and 33⅓-rpm records already had small holes? I know there's an answer out there.

And, btw, that image gallery of adaptor-spindles was nearly overwhelming, Tim. Yowza.

As to hazardous areas: It's the wood room, not the loft. The loft is fun, but the wood room is where I dream... and drool... and all but pass out for want of McGit #4.

Just a guess, but probably so you could grab a stack of them for the record changer and grip with your thumb. I sure used to do that.

Ergonomics in the 1960s! Makes all the sense in the world -- but then, wouldn't that adaptor get in the way of doing just that, sticking your thumb through a stack of 45s? Still, a realistic and sane consideration as to why the larger hole.

Lovin' the Memphis guitar, btw. Eager to see what else is in store!

McKnight Memphis Knights is what this one is called
Tim will show it soon. It will be personally hauled.

I tend to name McKnight guitars
because they become my own favorite stars.

It is plain as black and white
this guitar will be quite the sight.

Check it out at the Memphis Guitar Fest
where most us won't get much rest.

Come see Memphis from our floor.
Then go outside and see it much more.

Memphis is the place to be
to find McKnight sunglasses on me.

I am anticipating sunny days
So sunglasses will be handy in many ways.

You, too, should wear a pair.
Because I want many to stop and and stare.

Some might say they have no couth.
Others will gladly accept a "free pair" at the McKnight booth.

Sign up at that time for the Friday McJam
I want a group picture to see who's a ham.

Sign up ONCE for a McJam door prize - MUST BE ON TIME as you enter
Because you must be present to be considered the winner.

(Serving bottled water only)

McJam

Friday, June 5 (after the show)
Regency Suite (Locked floor)
Details given that day only!

Mary, I need a second pair of sunglasses.
But as I am McNearsighted, I will need some prescription lenses.
Shall I have my optometrist contact you?
Is that how it Mcworks?

Steve

Steve, I will be happy to give you a pair if you will hashtag us on the picture.

You need to wear them over your own glasses like McTim is doing in his McPicture!

It will be great to see you, too, Steve.

It's really time to go on the daily count down. Are you ready?

The hint of the back inlay looks nothing short of elegance and grace playing together in sweeps and curves (dare I say Bach-like counterpoint?!). Hope I get a chance to see (and maybe play?) this one before she goes to Memphis!!! Nice work, you two. Nice, nice work. It's all so natural in its beauty, each and every little touch.

Very nice. I wish I knew how to do inlay like that.

Mary sketched the design for this guitar in just a few minutes. I only wish I could have done the work that quickly ;( She wanted to capture the essence and history of Memphis in this guitar design but still tie her free flowing creativity into the inaugural festival theme that Bob has worked so diligently to create.
