Wiring attachment inside acoustic guitar
I have a Larrivee with a K&K bridgeplate pickup and soundhole preamp. The internal wiring was routed/secured using tape-mounted wire clips. The foam tape on the clip has failed, leaving the wiring dangling (with the loose clip still attached) inside the instrument.
So I have two questions: 1) Should I assume I just got a bad foam tape clip and use another one like it, or is there a better way to route and secure wiring inside the instrument? Can I safely put new foam tape on this one, or a dot of glue or something? 2) I don't know where this clip was stuck on before it fell off. I assume I should avoid sticking it onto the underside of the top, but does it matter whether I attach it to the back or to the side? |

IMO the best thing out there is 3M dual-lock with PSA backing.
