No...try guitar to overdrive to amp input. Then...

...Effects Send to all the other effects you mentioned to Effects Return (not to amp Input).

Also, you can get advice here but there is no substitute for using Google for something along the line of "how does an effects loop work" so that you understand what you're doing and why. It's really pretty straightforward once you "get" it.

You want to try each separate effect before AND after the amp. Phasers and Flangers will tickle different frequencies in the guitar's audio palette and cause the amp to respond differently depending on where the effect sweep is (think Van Halen's "Unchained" or "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love"). Wah pedals do the same thing (think Thin Lizzy's "Cowboy Song" or Dire Straits' "Money For Nothing"). Chorus not so much, but in the early days of the Police I believe (but could be mistaken) that Andy Summers ran his chorus before his Marshall amps. When Bob Bradshaw and Pete Cornish built his later system, I believe the chorus was post-distortion.

Like I said, it's all in what you like. Every one's got their own twist to make chocolate cake or chili...
