Totally agree

I bought a telecaster last summer. I am a fingernail strummer, I cant seem to hold onto a pick. This is a great guitar for me, makes a great noise I strum along to old 70's rock Slade, T rex and the Stones with a Beatles song thrown in here and there.

Here's a sort of out-of-the-box item from Kiesel (formerly Carvin):

http://www.carvinguitars.com/catalog/guitars/cc275

It's basically a thin acoustic/electric.

They also offer a very wide range of guitars that you can customize. For what it's worth, my Carvin has what I consider the nicest fretboard that I have played on any electric guitar. It is smooth as silk.

Can I ask why you are using an electric at all? Why not a great pickup in an acoustic if you want clean?
