Default Guitar Collections Ballads with Vocals?

It's difficult to find one book to capture a style of music that one wants. I really like playing simple fingerstyle/vocal pieces. One good example is Fleetwood Mack's Songbird. Johnoy Danao does a really nice arrangement.

Any suggestions on guitar book collections that might have similar guitar music with vocals?

Thanks!

Do you like Eva Cassidy? She did simple but nice fingerstyle arrangements of popular songs, songbird being one of them. I've had a go at learning quite a few of them from tabs I've found on Ultimate Guitar.

Yes, I love her music and actually have her songbook. Some of my favorite mellow songs are:

Songbird
Wonderful World
Hallelelujah (Jeff Buckley)
Amazing Grace
Day is Done (Peter, Paul, and Mary)
Edelweiss
Blowing in the Wind

I am lucky that I read music notation and have a music background, as I often just figure these out by ear and create my own arrangement. But it sure would be nice for someone to put a collection together.

Hey, if someone has some old folk music songbooks they want to sell, PM me!

And here is a nice website: http://singalongwith.us/

I don't find songbooks much help as they normally have one or two I like and a dozen I'm not bothered about (exceptions being James Taylor where I like all his stuff and Gordon Lightfoot). But they're so ****** expensive. I much prefer looking up songs I like on the net and youtube and taking it from there.

That's pretty much what I have been doing. I have learned a lot of music on youtube. And you are spot on. Music books are expensive, and usually don't contain but a half dozen song one might like.

I would suggest to compile your own songbook. There are plenty of sources these days to get what you want.
