Whoo Hoo, Plainview NY Acoustic Jam is approved!!!

When I got home today, I got the letter approving a new acoustic jam group for the Plainview library on Old Country Rd. in Plainview NY.

We will be starting up on Thursday, July 25 at 6:30 pm and we will be meeting monthly, mostly on the 4th Thursday of the month. All acoustic players are welcome. We can make an exception for a bass player. If you play any acoustic instrument or if you sing, come on over.

We will have the use of this beautiful auditorium with a piano on stage;



We will perform in a song circle and you can either take your turn or you can pass. You can perform any song you want but it really works best with songs that have an easy chord pattern or a singable chorus, so everyone can get involved. The only rule is to keep it moving without too much chit-chat. It will be fun but I want to keep the music moving.

So come on down, bring your songs, your voice and your instruments. It's going to be a lot of fun, and a lot of music!
