What a beautiful guitar!! Congratulations Paul (and John)! It's so beautiful and I can't wait to hear the report on the sound.

And I love hearing about your nursing home gig, Paul. My only "gig" is church- a small contemplative service where they have been wonderfully supportive of my crash course in learning the guitar over these past 6 years. And I bring my Steve Kinnaird FS and it's perfect for that acoustic setting. When my mother-in-law was in the memory unit for a year before she passed away, I thought about playing for the memory unit patients. They had a pianist who came- he made mistakes and he only knew 4 or 5 songs. He just kept playing the cycle. Those folks are totally in the moment and appreciative and by the time he started over again, they had forgotten the first song. I thought at the time "I know 5 songs!" I could do this

I'm not that far from the mountains east of San Diego. If you ever want me to come down and bring my Kinnaird, I'd love to make music. And ogle this guitar!!!!

Smile Thanks Beth

Thanks Beth! I play about 250-275 gigs a year. Almost all for senior and Healthcare facilities. They really listen, especially when awake! Hahaha

I would love to play your Steve K axe as I have yet to play one of his.

Send me a PM. And you are most welcome to come visit and play thru my stash.

I love to meet other AGFers! Especially if I am not doing the driving.

Play pretty gang and have FUN!!!

Paul

It is here and it is devastating! Best neck ever! LOUD!
Light weight, super comfy!!! Tone is warm and fat with great note definition and very clear too. I have it on the Tone-Rite and it is going to two gigs tomorrow!!!
Do I sound STOKED? Hahahahah John has ruined me. Woohoo!
John, if you had taken this to the Swananoa Gathering you could have sold it repeatedly I am sure! I am so glad it is MINE.
You RAWK.
Thank you VERY MUCH

Cheers

Beth is coming next weekend and staying Friday night in our Casita. She is bring her boss Steve K! I finally get to play one of Steve and Ryan's beauties.

John, you could come but it would be very expensive to get here! Once you're here it would be cheap though…

I'm sure you have plenty to do getting ready for Swananoa!

Will give you all a report though.

Cheers

Paul

I just got into this thread.

Wow, very cool guitar John. I love that domestic wood theme too. Great work on a beautiful instrument.

I had a maple guitar, a Taylor LTD GS, and in truth I miss it. It had a great clarity and power. Yours makes that one look like a toy! It is beautiful, looks incredibly comfortable and I'm sure it sounds stellar. Wishing you many years of happiness with it!

What a beautiful guitar! Thank you Paul and Cindy for the generous invite! I have to present at a conference in San Diego, so it worked out perfectly for me to meet them and meet this guitar (and Paul's other guitars) while I was down there. And then they invited me to use the guest house for the night! So instead of being downtown at the hotel, I am going to go play guitars with Paul and spend the night in the mountains. I am so stoked! I love my Steve Kinnaird FS and it will be fun to share it with Paul and to play his wonderful guitars. And make music with such a gifted musician!

Again- congratulations to you both! John- your guitars are always works of art! I've never played one of your beautiful instruments, so this will be a such a treat!
