Default Songs used in VCFS documentary

Thought I'd share this with my AGF friends. It feels good to know that my music is being used--even in such a small way--for something like this.

Snipped from my website:

SONGS USED IN DOCUMENTARY

Two of the songs from my Celtic Guitar CD ("Blind Mary" and "Pretty Girl Milking a Cow") were used in a recent documentary intended to increase awareness of a genetic syndrome known as Velo-Cardio Facial Syndrome, or VCFS. VCFS is the second-most-common syndrome after Down Syndrome, but most people have never heard of it.

The documentary, titled Life with VCFS, was made by an aspiring young filmmaker named Quinn Bradlee, who also happens to have VCFS. I was flattered to learn that Quinn personally chose to use my music in the documentary.

To read more about Quinn and VCFS, please see:

Very nice, Jim. I guess, it's a sign of your talent and skill.

Awesome news Jim! Here's hoping the film does well, and increases awareness of the syndrome...

What could be more gratifying? Congrats and delighted to hear it!

Somewhat similarly, I learned awhile back that an Indian classical musician who teaches tabla to the daughter of some friends of ours listened to my stuff in the hospital while quite sick with leukemia. This too came as a lovely, if somber, surprise... I am really happy to say that I recently had a chance to meet him in person since he is now sufficiently stable to have attended a Bela Fleck show with my friends and me. He spoke very kindly and was a delightful man - and you have to admire a 70-year-old classical musician from Ahmadabad who thinks Bela Fleck is really the bomb!!

Again, Jim, kudos to you.

yea, for workout music, you basically need hard-hitting euro-dance music.... nothing else does the job really. Search around on itunes for "euro club hits" or check this link: http://electricfilebox.com/tracks
