Default Righty Tighty, Lefty Loosey

This little reminder - righty tighty, lefty loosey - has saved me hours of wrestling with threaded things over my lifetime.

Now I sit here with my new archtop guitar, staring at the two threaded knobs on the bridge, wishing the action was lower, and wondering which direction is righty and which is lefty.

1. Am I viewing down the neck towards the body, or, from the body up towards the tuners?
- wait, is it the same either way? i am confused!

2. I presume, but would appreciate confirmation, that the knobs are turned in equal increments. It doesn't seem right that I would be just doing one or the other, or, one more so than the other. But, I don't know what I don't know! ;-)

Thanks in advance for your input!

Yours in tune and amped,

If you take a birds eye view of your bridge (looking down at the top), turning the wheels right (clockwise) will lower the bridge. Turning the wheels left (counter clockwise, will raise the bridge.

What Livingston said, plus...

The knobs / threads should be the same on the treble and bass side. However, the string height might not be the same.
