strings for guitalele
Has anyone tried silk and steels on a Yamaha GL1? I know that there will be a big increase in tension but I'm curious. Google turned up one reference of a fellow who says he's been doing it for a while now.

Not me, but I'm curious how it turrns out.
I'm running D'Addario composites (EJ45C if I remember it right) on mine. I'm not sure the GL1 really shows the full potential of the strings but they sound good. Very nylon of course.
