Default Carl Jackson

I’ve been a Carl Jackson fan since I was just a kid. My father and his brothers were big Bluegrass/Gospel and above all acoustic guitar fans. He was a super-sideman to Glen Campbell throughout Glen's earlier live touring years. If you haven't yet had a chance, I do recommend reading up on Carl. Here's a "recent" YouTube thread.

He has an older release of one of his CD's called "Gracenotes". It's a unique concept that includes a short insight of the guitars used. It's currently available for listening on Amazon Music. If you're a fan of acoustic guitars I think you'll perhaps really love it.

Carl Jackson's playing style is captivating. He's an amazing musician and so many people either don't know him or put him with Glen Campbell from back in the day. I've seen several videos of Carl playing with Glen's daughter Ashley Campbell.

As Joseph said any of Carl's work is well worth a listen...

I really enjoyed this. Thanks for bringing it up.

This is one of my favorite Carl Jackson YT videos...a Recording King RD-328 demo. I almost bought one of these after listening to him. Fingerpicked bare flesh. The guy has a great touch and he's fun to listen to...

About 2010 I recorded and mixed a Gospel album for a group and they brought Carl in for backup singing on one song. Phenomenal singer. Lifted the song to a higher level. Highly sought after in Nashville.
