Default Who Plays the Gibson J-200? (Famous or Not)

I'm seriously considering purchasing a Gibson J-200 soon, and while I mull it over, I wanted to tap into the vast knowledge here to get a sense of who plays (or played) a J-200, whether famous or not?

Any photos, recordings, or videos are welcome!

Bruce Springsteen played a Gibson J-200 on all the songs during the recording of his Nebraska album.

They are a lovely guitar. I've played one and I'm a legend in my own mind. LOL.

Before you buy one, however. you must try it. They have a very large body that isn't suitable for everyone. I love Emmy Lou Harris, but you can hardly see her behind her J200.

There are also several styles of bridges used down through the years on J200's. Some of them are the typical Gibson adjustables, which I don't believe sound as nice as the other type with a regular bone saddle.

Both the adjustable and non-adjustable bridges are the mustache type which are fine until you need to remove one for replacement.

Happy hunting!

Tom Petty often played a J-200, usually with a custom pickguard and I remember it being decked out with brown suede leather one of the times I saw him.

Wow, Gibson actually made a very limited edition 1957 re-issue of the SJ-200 in 2016.

That's pretty. I wonder if the back and sides are laminate as my mate's '57 are. Quite a few J200 models were built like that, apparently. Whatever, it sounds fantastic.

I'm not sure but this 2016 re-issue might have been the 1st Gibson SJ-200 to have a torrified top.
I believe it is an outstanding guitar.
