Default Filling screw holes - Tuner change

I have a Recording King RM-991 resonator that I want to perform a tuner swap on. I plan to put in some Gotoh 510 open back tuners in, the issue is that I don't believe that they will cover up the old screw holes (they are not in hand yet and its difficult to be sure without them)
I'm not adverse to just leaving the old holes as they are (the guitar is nice, but there to be used), but I just wanted to check out what the potential ways of filling the old holes are. The neck is Honduran Mahogany.
I do have some wood working skills.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

Very difficult to hide if new tuners do not cover them.

Just leave them alone

I wonder about this... it occurs to me that maybe
you could take your guitar to a good furniture
restoration place where they are used to fixing
up good antique furniture... I wonder if they'd be
able to hide the old holes pretty well?

No harm leaving them alone.

Quick and easy DIY to fill holes so they won't look like empty holes:

Get an appropriate colored wax crayon, heat the tip in a small flame to soften it, squish it in the hole. Then scrape off the lump with the edge of a business card. Rub off the wax smear with a paper towel.

Not a professional level touchup, but pretty much cost and risk free. . . .

Wow, that turned out pretty good. I had to look twice, maybe 3 times, to see the repair. Good job.

Its nice when the machine heads almost cover the old ones

This one is not so much fun, the structural part of the repair has been carried out, cosmetic work to follow
