I'm fine @Psalad you did a great job. Not unfair at all I'll post it later anyway. You made it justice, like the guitar and harmonies.

Just wanted to chime back in. I enjoyed ALL the posts here. All of us are hacks to some degree. Some more than other [raising my hand here]. I just like that we are sharing music and ideas on takes, etc. This stuff is, after all, what all these **** guitars we buy are for.

Gonna have to agree with that. When I 1st arrived at these forums I thought they'd be veritable fountains of music. Instead I discovered they were mostly about distinguishing between instrument grade wood species, kindling and which labels denoted which.

Default Great listening

I've been away for quite some time and just started hanging around again. I'd never seen this thread and am so glad I found it. I'll have to get something thrown together asap. Todd (fitness1), brother, I'm impressed! Nicely done.

I'm an idiot. I've been working on the Dixie Chick's song "Long Time Gone" as a request for a friend but recently realized it wasn't written or even first performed by them! Guess I'll have to learn another this weekend.

Ok guys this is my contribution to this wonderful thread. Many outstanding players here with wonderful gender bender covers.
The song is "I'll stand by you" by The Pretenders written and sung by Chrissie Hynde . I like this song so much.

Let me tell you the making of:
Epiphone DR100 ; I put some little compression and a light chorus, two records two tracks, same pattern just to give it some stereo body, let's say.
I have recorded the guitar with a ZOOm H1. (cheap but wonderful device).
The voice I have recorded with a Chinese version mic of Shure and with my Scalett2i2 with some delay because it fits this song. I have not made any 2nd voices on this.
All tracks were one go. Whatever was wrong I started all it over, no cuts, no amendments.
I hope to hear your opinion, whether you like it or if you have any advise. I'll be much obliged. Thank you very much

Really nice performance delaorden. If I were to offer a criticism, vocals "sink" a bit too much in the mix, and the guitar and vocals don't sound in the same "space". It seems like you put two different reverbs on guitars and vocals (I don't have any decent speakers/monitors to be sure, but that's what it sounds like).

Hi @vts thanks for your input. I have made a slight change in the division of the vocals' channels . I haven't used any reverb at any time only delay in the vocal . Appreciate if you give another listen. Maybe got better.
