3/4 size guitars.
I find myself playing my little martin more than my regular size guitars. It just has a mojo to it that im drawn to. Im finding that with all smaller size acoustics that i pick up and play. Anyone else have any favorite small guitars that they enjoy playing?

Our band's vocalist has a Taylor GS-Mini-e Koa that's one of the sweetest small-body guitars I've played at any price...

The mini's are sweet. Theirs a few people who play them at open mics by me. Perfect guitar for that type of setting.

My Composite Acoustics Cargo gets played a ton. It lives out on a stand and looks "normal" when my 3/4 size wife plays it. The great sounding pickup, combined with its small size and durability also make it my go-to steel string in a pit orchestra.

I recently picked up an unmarked Harmony Stella (or a clone) for next to nothing on Facebook Marketplace, and it’s been a blast. I keep falling deeper and deeper in love with it. Works especially well in open tunings, finger-picking and slide.

It was a great one for my wife to learn on. For me, the string spacing is quite tight. That's what I really like about the Cargo...it plays like a full sized guitar. I often recommend the Oscar Schmidt to kids though.

Almost all my guitars are 3/4 size or maybe 4/5?
I love smaller guitars. Look at my signature. All except the first (Faith) are smaller guitars. It is probably due to my smaller stature and therefore I feel more comfortable with a smaller guitar. Looks visually proportional too when I’m playing my guitars.

How does your Yamaha CSF compare to your GS Minis? I saw one at a small shop near me. It seemed nice but couldnt compare it back to back at that time.

00 size has become my favorite over the years. I agree, there's something special about them.

3/4 size guitars.
Quote:
The CSF and Minis and Dread Jr are equal, they fall within the same ballpark. Depends a lot on one’s personal preference. The Mini has more treble, the Dread Jr has more bass...and the CSF is very balanced. I find the CSF sounding a bit “jarring” if strummed hard on 12-53 Elixirs PB Nanoweb. So I changed the strings to 11-52 and it sounds more balanced. I feel it excels slightly better with finger-picking than strumming. It has a more expensive look than the Mini and Dr Jr because of its full glossed body, fine workmanship and also solid Hog b/s. Definitely a value-for-$$$ guitar. Hope this is helpful. Just my personal views.

I started back into this with a GS Mini Hog. I decided to get something a little larger so I added a Martin 000-28. I am now considering getting something in between like an 00 12 Fret. I like small guitars since Im not a tall person.
I put a bone saddle on the GS Mini and the action is a bit high so I have it on hold til I can get that better. The Mini is a nice small guitar. There is a GS Mini owner thread in here somewhere also....

I have a Fender CT-60S. It's not in the same league as a GS Mini or a Mini-D, but it's not in the same price bracket, either. It sounds nice and plays great.

I too love my CA Cargo. Great full fretting in a smaller comfy body.
I don't play the Baby Taylor as much but enjoyed it when I did. I have an all-Cocobolo baritone Ukelele I picked up in Nicaragua last year and really enjoy it. It's close to a parlor guitar. I enjoyed the Gibson LO for awhile but am now trying to sell (just to try some other small body). I picked up a Daisy Rock Debutante off C'list (I like pink and purple things). I thought it sounded really nice and I liked the body size. But the nut was 1 10/16 and I have "stout" fingers and neuropathy and there's only so much I could do on that one (I gave it to one of the teen girls I mentor at work). If it had a wider nut I'd still have it. So many fun instrument options out there....... John

All of mine are parlor or very close in size. I have very short fingers and am rather "well-endowed," and find parlors (or 3/4 size guitars) the most comfortable to play. And to me, they sound every bit as good as full-sized.
