Default Going from two to three

As an extension of the which two guitars and which three guitars threads, I ask, would you stick with the two you chose and add a third, or would you take the second pick which was perhaps a compromise off your list and add two new guitars, or would you perhaps clear the list and start over in the context of having three guitars?

For me, it would depend on the guitars and what I am trying to accomplish with my music. I have added guitars and replaced guitars and finally have landed on 4 guitars that I rotate through and love to play.
What determines whether or not I keep a guitar is tone, playability, and whether or not it adds something to what I want in terms of my musical expression. Like so many questions regarding guitars, it depends. :-)
Best,
Jayne

What if, after you decide on your three, you then have to pick just one?

And then, after picking the one guitar above all others, you now get to pick 4 more?

And then, you have to trade 3 of the 5 randomly with someone else that's replied to the thread?

And then, after that, there is a coordinated, yet spontaneous combustion event that destroys every guitar listed... and you have to start over with picking just two...

Would they be the same two, or a different two, or would you instead switch to bagpipes because no one would ever ask you to pick two bagpipes in a thread on an internet bagpipe forum?

Inquiring minds want to know... and stuff. Meanwhile, I'm checking for used bagpipes now on CraigsList...

I’m going to cancel my first response on the keep two thread and go with my original plan to sell two and get down to the eight I want to keep.

I chose two as the magic number https://www.acousticguitarforum.com/...d.php?t=682601 because in case of a fire you can leave the building with one in each hand and two is the lowest prime number...

For the sake of playing along… I went with the 3 in my signature with their build years underlined. I’m partial to Larrivees, Martins, and Taylors, so I picked one of each that is meaningful and musically unique for me.

I think the answer is: Keith Magnuson was #3 on the Blackhawks, so I have three guitars. Now what was the question, exactly?
