Default Santa Cruz RS Custom - 2010 SOLD

Up for sale is a beautiful Santa Cruz RS model based on the old Gibson Roy Smeck models. This one is from 2010 and features East Indian Rosewood back and sides and custom mother of pearl inlays on the fretboard that are modeled after the old Roy Smeck Radio Grande. Otherwise, specs are mostly standard for this model. This guitar is near-mint with just a few minor swirl marks and pick marks on the top that are barely visible and easily buffed out if desired. It has a big, dry, dark, woody voice. Also comes with a beautiful Ameritage Case with a Santa Cruz badge.

Here are the some the important specs:

Top - Adirondack Spruce
Back and sides - East Indian Rosewood
Width at Nut - 1-13/16″
Scale Length - 24.75"
Body depth - 4-5/8" lower bout
Neck Shape - Round
12 frets to the body
K&K pickup installed on bridge plate with endpin jack

You can find all of the standard specs here: https://santacruzguitar.com/rs/
A brand new one with standard specs lists for $7,500.

I'm offering this one at new lowered price of SOLDplus shipping

I love this guitar, but as I get older, I gravitate more towards small-bodied guitars that are easier on my neck and shoulders.

Sound demo (please pardon a flub or two)

Hi, I have one in hog - but always fancied one in EIR and with Nick Lucas inlays.

Are you "absodefinately" sure that nut width is 1 & 3/4" ???

Mine is a 1 & 13/16" - any way you could double check nut width and string spacing?
Thks, Andy

You are correct, sir! A second and more careful look with my ruler reveals a 1 13/16 inch nut. Original post updated.
(1 3/4 is offered on the web site as a no-cost option, but I'm confident now that this one is the standard 1 13/16 spec. Thanks for prompting me to re-check.)

The Nick Lucas inlays are beautiful. The sunburst is just stunning, too! I searched for this guitar for years and am somewhat reluctant to let her go, but the big, deep body does not agree well with my aging, achey shoulders

Have had a few interesting trade offers, but mostly looking for cash--unless something irresistible comes up!

Default High lonesome tone

Your description of the tone is right on the money. Man it sounds great!

Wow, I’m very surprised this one is still for sale. An RS in rosewood with the Nick Lucas type inlays makes for one special guitar. I always loved this model. I’m not a dread player and I have 3 dreads right now, but I love the 12 fret wide neck on this one. And it sure sounds great in your hands. Best of luck.

Courtesy bump for a fine guitar and as thorough a sales presentation as I have seen. And I have seen more than a few....

This is a gorgeous guitar. I gave up dreads a long time ago but this one keeps me looking.
