Jesse Winchester played smaller guitars... the last few vid's of him playing live had him playing an all-mahogany Martin, as well as what looked to me like a OO (possibly even a O) Martin...

Tim O'Brien plays a Martin 00-18 (long scale).

In fact, Martin made a Tom O'Brien signature model for a while -- not sure if they still do.

I've tried both of those guitars when I was shopping for my GS Mini. They look, feel, and sound like toys.

Sheeran used to play a Little Martin. He plays a little Lowden now.

Was there some specific point to this topic?

I immediately think of Ian Anderson. He's always played smaller bodied, high-end Martins (with a capo at position 2,3,4...!). Very medieval tone that he's going for, with a hybrid pick-and-fingers style.

My '96 Taylor 412k cops this tone almost perfectly when I cover his material...old Jethro Tull, later solo stuff. I love this guy's music!

He’s a national treasure. Brilliant songwriter and performer.
