Tellier Guitars Quilt Maple Nylon string
Started a new project a Quilt maple back and sides German spruce top nylon crossover.

I don’t know if your camera isn’t capturing the grain in that top but it sure looks to be some extremely tight grain??? Is that Red Maple Fred? Looking great so far and I look forward to following along.

+1 on that lovely maple, colored almost like Spanish cedar or cherry. Very original look, should be great finished product!

Happy New Year Steve
I found a turning round of Spalt Maple on the wood to works web site and sliced it up for a dozen rosettes. Tristan's nylon has the 1st piece from this set the nice thing is the pieces are large enough and have a enough variation to allow me to get a slightly different look on each one I use. I am saving the cutoffs so I can do some segmented rosettes also. Fred |

The binding is completed and body ready for final sanding and start of my finish process once neck is completed.

Neck now completed and guitar ready for final sanding and into my finish process.
Peg head completed Ebony overlay laminated with maple and black veneer then edges chamfered to reveal the veneers and logo cut from scrap Maple from the back wood. Thanks for looking and feel free to comment |
