Some of the advantages of the D6-8:

1) more channels

On each channel:

2) sweepable mids
3) variable high pass
4) downward expander type noise gate
5) phase switch
6) compressor
7) monitor mix send with pan (stereo monitor mixes)
8) reverb send
9) chorus send
10) class A preamps

Overall:

11) insert delay effect which can be routed to any chanel.
12) programmable reverb, chorus, and delay
13) separate full EQ for stereo outs
14) four balanced outputs (two XLR and two TRS)
15) XLR outs can be either stereo mix or channel 1 & 2 passthrough
16) four channels of phantom power.
17) mono/stereo switch.
18) aux in or bluetooth.
19) LiON battery vs SLA for Fishman charge
20) speaker pole mount
21) 10 mixer memories
22) higher quality sound than Fishman or (in my opinion) AER, especially on vocals

I love my Loudbox Mini and Performer amps.

The Mini is plenty of power for 95% of where I play.

I think a loudbox is the right direction from what I am seeing here, but didnt go look at it just yet. I realized it is an older, pre BT model and was trying to see besides bluetooth what other features are absent.

Only amplified acoustic I ever heard for as long as I've been playing acoustic on stage. Has been through stage monitors. Monitors with a 15" woofer and a 2" horn. Usually pushing between 500 and 1000 watts. Now, in my latter years. I've tried the different acoustic amps. I can't seem to pull the trigger on these. I do see the advantage of a little all in one box. But just not happy with the sound. I never liked 10 or 12 inch wedges either. So I'm thinking one of the new small bluetooth mixers. Maybe the Soundcraft. But I still gotta have my 15's

As far as I know, the BT connection is the only difference between these two amps. I have owned them both (at different time points, though, so I have not compared them directly). But my impression was that there were no discernible difference, apart from the BT capability, which happened to be of no interest to me.

The new ones also replaced the tolex on the dark brown parts with hard plastic. Doesn't really look different but doesn't scar up as much. I would still be perfectly happy with the old Mini as it is a great amp with no major improvements going into the new one.

That’s all well and good ..
But the OP states they are only playing at home.

These small acoustic amps mentioned so far sound fantastic in home setting.
