Or kept you from finding the perfect string for your ears and mandolin. That's the deal with subjective choices.

Of course that's always a possibility, but I dropped a lot of money on strings in the last few days. so I need a break

With four acoustics and four mandolins, I never buy less than $50 at a time. But I hardly use any gas anymore, so string expenditure is no problem.
