I I think it was probably very fortunate that I could not go this year because I think that Henderson would have come home with me! Could you see a price point on that guitar?

Tom - I did not. There was a lot of action at her table (she was up on the stage) and I didn't get a chance to chat....R

'Welcome, Jayne. You should really try to make it to Woodstock one year. It's unlike any other show - that time of year in that town with all its authenticity and history. Smaller but more intimate. Always my favorite weekend of the year....

Yes, thank you so much for posting these pics, and all the infos! This makes life easier for those who could not be there... The Circa Julia Toaspern is playing looks like John's new OMX model. Has anybody tried it?

Plus got to meet Joel (he's a hugger!), Lizz, Issac and more at their house after.

Picked up my amazing new Michaud JR-MBW from Marcus (thank you!) and played it late into the night before driving back to NYC this morning.

Gents, thanks for a great evening and definitely let's try to do this again in 2020!

Oh yes! What an incredible night. Thank you so much for hosting us Justin, and I am glad you are enjoying your new Michaud

Here are some photos of that night. Alexa, post the photos (this is an inside joke)

A wonderful weekend! It was a privilege to meet those of you who stopped by my Kalamazoo Gals exhibit of decidedly not shiny new guitars! I had two 1943 Gibson SJs, one so minty that George Gruhn has declared it the finest example extant, and one that spent its early days in foxholes at the European front during WWII. I also displayed 1 of only 139 ever made, X-braced, LG-1s (Gibson shipped 138 in 1943 and 1 in 1944).

My main goal was to film some episodes for the documentary film of the went-to-WWII guitar, that will visit sites important to women's and WWII history (It'll go to the Rosie the Riveter Museum, Pearl Harbor, Seneca Falls, the beaches of Normandy, Hiroshima & Nagasaki, etc). Mary Flower, Jamie Stillway, and John Sebastian graciously participated. Here's John with the went-to-WWII guitar:

Yep. He's sitting in the very spot where the cover to Dylan's 1965 album, "Bringing It All Back Home," was photographed.

And, John and me with dueling Banner SJs:

I also gave a Kalamazoo talk to a standing room only crowd. Such fun! Sorry not to see any AGFers there.

For sure - such fun for me too! I think the $ value of the guitars in my house on Friday could have paid off my mortgage...

Those Bashkins...I really loved Bob's Koa and it lived up to all the expectations of the build thread. My personal "wanna-take-it-home" from a tonal preference perspective would have been the Katalox. As much as I love my wonderful new Michaud, Michael's SJ was amazing in that it retained his trademark responsiveness and dynamic range. Really wonderful. BUT, the real surprise for me was the Maple, which was 1) stunning for its quilting and 2) for its dry crispness, which provided a level of clarity and note separation that was thoroughly easy to appreciate.

What an evening - can't wait until 2020!
