Default new McIlroy.....

I'm jumping the gun here, but it's on the way. Delivery in a couple days. It's an AS25. In the mean, let me know what you think about yours, or ones you've played. Pictures are encouraged!!!!

had an A30C a short time ago in Sitka and EIR.

It had a unique voice. It seemed that the top wood was thicker than a typical acoustic, and possibly the bracing was lighter. It had a natural compression to my ear....good balance but limited dynamics.

I think part of what I was hearing was the much deeper body than I'm used to as well.

I've heard that Dermot's best guitars are the Cedar/Walnut, and knowing what I know, that wouldn't suprise me. I would like to try a smaller/shallower body in that combination.

Congratulations on the new McIlroy! I recently bought an A-16 and would love to try the AS model. I thought it might be too small but after playing the A, I think that it may be an attractive size. Did you buy the one at Paramount?

Gorgeous. Fantastic craftsmanship, very impressive. It's 1 AM here and I've been trying to play quietly the past 2 hours. Thoughts: good sparkle, crisp, with good note definition, not boomy. Easy to play neck and setup , tension feels nice It needs to be played in, and I néed to hear it from the front. I think I like it...) I'll get around to pics. Guitar pics need daylight!

Default Sound comparisons?

Any sound comparisons or thoughts after a year of ownership?
