Chris;
The first guitar does not much fit my ideal, but it is interesting. I particularly like the banjo tuners. I used uke tuners on my suitcase guitars and I like the look and functionality with nylon strung instruments. I really don't like the classical width and flat fret board. The second guitar comes closer to my ideal, but still, not really there. In my recent entreaty to Alistair I've suggested an X7 thinned to a 2" body, with a 1 7/8" nut width, a slight radius on the fret board, with a simple, clean, active pickup. In short, something basic that does not look like a Tele, something that can be adapted to a number of electronic fixtures, and something that would be quite stunning with a woody face. Thank you for forwarding the two videos. The two guitars shown/heard are pretty neat but technically more than I want or need. they do, however, show that work is being done with nylon string electric guitars. Kramster will be surprised. |
