This is a high quality guitar show and not your typical used guitar swap meet. There will be a few vendors there with guitar related accessories. All of the exhibitors will have new guitars on display and most will be for sale there at the show. Many luthiers will also take orders if you don’t see exactly what you are looking for. You won’t get there too late as there will be lots of concerts and activities still going on. There should be more info on the website for a list of vendors, exhibitors and activities.

I've been to many a guitar show over the years that can be classified as "used guitar swap meets".....Electrics being played everywhere.....can't hear yourself if you do grab an acoustic to play.....and tons of over priced used guitars with unknown history, repairs, etc....

This will be a great change for sure....Can't wait!!

There is a low level din in the main exhibition room but no where comparable to “My amp is louder than your amp” that you usually encounter at swap meet type events. This show is focused more towards acoustic guitars with a few arch top electrics in the mix. The room is usually no louder than low level voices conversing.

Most exhibitors will allow you to demo guitars at their table and will usually walk you outside the large room so you can enjoy it in a quiet space if you are a serious buyer? In past shows they have provided small sound proof booths to demo guitars in but I am unsure if they will this year?

Most exhibitors would really appreciate attendees wear appropriate clothing without buttons, exposed zippers, chains, jewelry and the like if you plan on demo’ing a guitar. It would not be out of the norm to find guitars for sale north of $50K and the last thing you might want to hear is “you scratched it, you bought it”

LOL - I play every guitar I have with a long sleeve shirt on with no buttons / including my Hohner - kind of anal about that…..I also wipe down my guitars after I play…..

Momma taught me to respect everyone and everything I interact with….including guitars….

I'll be exhibiting at this years Artisan. My first show in over two years, and I'm really looking forward to meeting up with some friends I haven't seen in quite a while.

John Detrick (organizer) always does a fantastic job. Some educational lectures, excellent performances. Always a top level event.

I'll have three or four guitars to exhibit and at least two that will be for sale. Stop by and say hello AGF people.

Patrick

Hello gang - does anyone have any updates on the daily schedule for the show? We are less than a month away!

All - in looking at the website and schedule, I don't see any scheduled events for Friday afternoon / evening? Does anyone know what the Friday schedule looks like? Thanks in advance...

a Friday evening kick-off jazz set featuring an array of historic and current archtops that will be available and on stage to showcase. Those instruments include our annual giveaway guitar made by American Archtop Guitars, and instruments produced by guitar builders Brown, Comins, D’Angelico, D’Aquisto, Mirabella, and Monteleone. There may be an additional prominent guitar builder or two included in this concert.
