Hi, I posted my latest cover song video to my YouTube channel. There are now 59 songs posted on my 'Old Faithful Covers' channel.
The song is a multi-track cover on which I played and sang all of the instrumental and vocal parts. I tried to sound as close to the original recording as possible. "The Warmth of the Sun" was the 'B' side of the Beach boys hit, "Dance, Dance, Dance" (which is one of the earlier covers posted on my channel). A strong argument could be made that either song could have been the 'A' side. The song is a beautiful example of the band's lush harmonies. The song was composed by Brian Wilson and Mike Love on the same day as the asassination of President John F. Kennedy. They both consider the tragedy to have affected the writing and the subsequent 'feel' of the song. If you enjoy the video, please send a link to someone else who might like it. Thanks. beatbyrd https://youtu.be/t8H_a0okIsY |

Just doesn’t get any better. I loved The Beach Boys’ music. It was exactly in my era and brought the Pacific ocean to Indiana where I grew up.
Very well done, beatbyrd. Thanks for bringing back some great memories. Roger |
