Default 2017 Eastman E6D $old on Reverb

2017 E6D in great shape. Beautiful solid Mahogany back and sides. Solid Sitka top. Specs list it at 1 3/4 nut but might be more like a 1 23/32. String spacing at the saddle- 2 5/32. Has a lower profile neck. Sounds and plays great! And it's Loud. Very little fret wear and hardly any other wear and tear but it does have quite a bit of finish checking on the top. Can only be seen at the right angle. Kind of a cool vintage/ relic look in my opinion. I bought it like that. No structural issues. Comes with endpin jack and no pickup. Had an under saddle that has been removed. Original hard case included. $old to conus with ppg.

Disclaimer: I don't know this seller, and I've never played this model of guitar. However, I've owned several Eastman instruments (guitars and others), and I can say with some authority that this is a heck of a good price for this instrument.

Thanks. These are one of the best bangs for the bucks available. I'd put it up against many other guitars costing 2-3 times as much as the asking price.

Default Eastie

Are the finish cracks from cold weather shipping?
And is setup low n easy to play as possible, without buzzing?
How would it compare to a yamaha fg800...hmm

I believe this one was once mine. It is stellar in every respect!
Punches well WELL above it's price point. Someone is going to be a happy recipient.

I haven’t played an e6d. But I have an AC422ce (grand auditorium, rosewood b/s) and an FS700s. So not apples to apples.

That said, the Eastman is significantly better than the Yamaha. Better bass, much better sustain, richer overtones, etc. again, I’m also going from a mid to a full size guitar and the rosewood matters for the bass and overtone content. All that said, the Eastman all day, every day for me.

Not trying to knock the Yamaha or anything cause I've played some good ones too. This one compares favorably to many high end guitars and it's a good way to get into a nice loud Dread without the boutique price tag. Thx
Finish checking occurs when a guitar finished with nitrocellulose lacquer is allowed to get very cold, then is brought into a warm room, and the case is opened before the guitar can acclimate. The wood and lacquer quickly expand, but at different rates, resulting in cracking of the glass-like lacquer.

Most vintage guitars exhibit at least some weather-checking, some are covered in it. I like it.

In any event, weather-checking does not impact tone or playability in the slightest.

This is a super deal. If I were not already a bit overstocked on Sitka/mahogany, I would be all over this one as a stage guitar.

This was once my guitar, and the finish checking is exactly that: due to cold weather shipping here to Madison, Wisconsin. I kept it because it is sonically fantastic. It is structurally completely sound, set-up is great/plays great, and it just punches way WAY above its price point tonally. I have been tempted to buy this one back. It's a very good guitar and this is truly a bargain. I have another guitar for sale here and just too many right now or I likely would score it back.

Default Pics?

Some pics might move this into the "sold" column.

Also, I would like to know what the string spacing (string to string) at the saddle is.

Thank you.
