Hi Kent

I love the idea of the classical-style steel string and if Trevor does brign it back I'll be down to take a look ASAP. I recently played the Adirondack/mahogany dreadnought of yours that he has in the shop and thought it was fantastic.

As regards the comment someone made about the possibility of dense woods used in the construction of a smaller guitar leading to a dull sound, i can only say that I recently played an ebony Retreux parlour by Mike Baranik (also at TAMCO) that was simply jaw-dropping.

Thanks all.

Richard, The next one slated for Trevor is a Jumbo but I sure hope to get him a Classic one way or another and will let you know if it happens.

Hi Kent

Yes, please do let me know. I'm sure I'll get to see the jumbo when it arrives. The Signature D is excellent. Some really interesting contruction and a serious flatpicker's instrument - with more besides.

A couple of quick shots with the finish on. I may get this strung up next week. If not, it will have to wait a few weeks. Lots going on (including those Parlors in the background, one of which is coming to Healdsburg too).

I decided on a spanish cedar slothead neck for this. Putting the last coats of oil on it now.

Your guitar is looking fantastic Kent. I hope there will be one in the Twin Cities some day so I could see and hear it up close.

More pictures of the Ziricote guitar are coming in the next few days. In the mean time, I thought I'd put up some photos of the Parlor I'm bringing to Healdsburg.

13.5" lower bout. Western Red Cedar top, Claro Walnut Back/Sides, Cocobolo fingerboard and bridge, Leopardwood binding, Walnut burl rosette.

Hope to meet a lot of you in person next week!

Hey Kent,

Looking great ... I am really looking forward to seeing the ziricote guitar (nothing against parlors) but the ziricote is looking awesome.

See ya next week

I agree with John about the zircote, but then I'm a bit prejudiced. Looking forward to seeing your guitars at Headsburg, Kent. Thanks for letting us catch a few glimpses of them here!

Was that 3 Johns in a row that posted?

Looking forward to putting faces with the names (and learning the correct names where applicable)!

I strung up the Ziricote guitar yesterday and will get photos up tomorrow.

Last night at 9:00, I went out to the shop with a couple more hours of work that needed to get done. I then made the mistake of picking up that guitar. I played for over an hour before getting to work.

OK, it's ready to go. I'll get a page up on my site tonight with all 3 Healdsburg guitars but for now, here are the finished photos of the Redwood/Ziricote Classic.

I decided on Spanish Cedar slot-head neck. I tried a variation of an oil finish I've used before on necks. It wasn't as bad as Tim's finish nightmare but it was not fun. We refinished it once and after more hours than I care to think about, the outcome is exceptionally silky and fast with a very natural look.

25.4" scale, 1-3/4" nut, 2-1/4" saddle.

Thanks for looking.
