It's one of my favorite guitars. It isn't big and boomy; if anything it's more mid-focused. Good note definition with nice resonance. It sounds different than my dreads, in a good way, which is why I like it.

Earlier today, I picked up a Yamaha FS800 from Craigslist. In great shape, and only $100.
It's going to be my new camping guitar.

Love my mint FG800 I got off of Craiglist for $150 about two weeks ago! I am suddenly a Yamaha fan and have been looking at all of them wondering if I want another one now. Thinking about that A1M or A1R now.

I currently have an LS6, very nice, and actually has the most comfortable neck out the three guitars that I own. Does anyone know the difference in sound one would expect going to an all wood, high end LS model?

They aren't much to look at but the tone and playability on them is amazing.

Very responsive, scalloped bracing, and the LS has a 25 inch scale. Very cool value guitars with tons of tone in my experience.

This is turning into a great thread! Thanks for the pics so far, and I apologize for not responding for a bit. I had three steroid injections in my lower back this morning😞, and have been out of it. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day😁

Mike, ouch! I hope it's not serious, although it sounds like it could be.
Back problems are nasty buggers. I have arthritis in the top of the neck that makes my hands and fingers go haywire. Often I awake to the searing hot jolts of electricity. Once that happens I can't get back to sleep. And - - - unfortunately, it hits me when I'm playing the guitar.

I do have a Yamaha picture to post soon. I have an APXIII, which I like because it's comfortable in my lap when I'm couching it. Acoustically, it's not great but plugged in it's really decent sounding. I know they don't get much love, but to me it's a goodie!

Hey Russell,

I have spinal stenosis, and arthritis. I had a Laminectomy, and fusions on L3,L4,L5 last year. It brought no relief, so we are trying more injections. If the injections do not work, a pain pump may be my next option. I sure know what you mean by the jolts of electricity! I hope you can find some relief.

My LL16-D

The last time I changed strings, I stuck my cell phone in the soundhole for a couple pictures:
