Okay...I'll wait with you and look for an update in a couple weeks! Thanks. perhaps unfortunately I live within 3 hours of the Northfield factory in Michigan. and have been endlessly looking at their website. Uh Oh!

I think the F5S is about all I can consider at present, and even that's quite a stretch. My Breedlove Legacy OF is actually plenty to mandolin for everything I play. I have relatives in Michigan that I'll visit this summer so will stop in Marshall along the way to play some Northfields in person. Maybe a stop at Elderly to A/B some other options is also on the list.

I have had an 815v for a couple years now and been very happy. Every once in a while I think about a second mandolin, but can't really get excited about anything different.

Got new strings on it, medium Nickel Bronzes. Sounds great, as good as it can with a ham fisted guitarist playing it

Alright, I love it. Took it a bit to liven up, but really sounds fantastic now. The more I play it, the better it sounds.
