I've played Gibson a long, long time. When I saw Gibson's free shipping sale this weekend I decided it was time to get one of these for the studio.

It's an 11 oz. mug, which is mandatory for me - too big cools off the coffee, too small doesn't hold enough coffee. It's got the logo on both sides which is perfect for me as a lefty!

Congrats - that's a beauty. You know, some people swear by their vintage mugs, but you can keep that old-school stuff. The new Gibson mugs are as good as anything Gibson ever made.

Package arrived from Nashville via FedEx, safe and sound. My wife was home all day and spent most of it in earshot of the door. They didn't knock or ring so the package sat out most of day, available to thieves.

There, doesn't that sound like a NGD?

I would say that is the only Gibson you would not want to Keep by your console.

Here I was thinking you got another SG. Great looking mug though.

Nice mug, Bob, but I prefer the 10 oz. with the same height-scale but slightly smaller radius and shallower handle.

Just saying.

The mug has taken its place on the producer's desk. I love the subdued metallic gold. Looks just like the Gibson headstock logos and like the "Dulux Gold" sported by Southern Railway engines in both the green and black livery.
