I'm not about to bore you by explaining matters.

My wife will be glued to the TV, but although I am also a proud Monarchist, I doubt that I will, although no disrespect will be intended.

If it is a lovely sunny day like today, I'll be toiling in the fields like the son of the soil that I am!

Just a friendly request, please folks, bear in mind that there are many British and Commonwealth folk on this forum, and consider whether your comments might offend.

Thanks,
I would like to say that I do have a reasonable understanding of the British Monarchy and it's place in history with regard to the United Kingdom, its people and the world in general.
I just don't care about the pomp and circumstance stuff...used to but I'm old and cynical now.

I'll preface my comment by reminding you all that I'm female.

Bet you'd think I'd be all into it, right???

Wrong!!!

No interest at all. I don't get into all that royal stuff. I'll probably be working on projects with my prince.

Probably not. While I was invited and asked to escort the bride down the aisle, I have tickets to the offshore power boat races in Cocoa Beach this weekend. So, y'know...

I think for a lot of people the whole fascination with the Monarchy thing was ruined by the Princess Diana fiasco/tragedy.

I’m glad for Prince Harry—and good on him for moving the date forward to make sure that his Grandad could be in reasonably good health (he’s close to a century old).

Will I watch? Nope. I’ll be wearing a cap and gown and watching a lot of students walk across a stage.

Unfortunately, I’m booked in to vacuum the lint out of all my pockets, otherwise, I’d be all over it, I swear.

Not me. Maybe I'll change some guitar strings. That would be more fun.

I’m a proud Canadian, my country is part of the commonwealth, and although I’m not into the monarchy and doubt I’ll watch, I hope everyone who enjoys it, does. It is a big, important event for many, and certainly for a lot of our British AGFers, so enjoy a great celebration! Prince Harry is a cool, upstanding guy who is making a difference and honouring his late Mom very well. Hopefully his bride will complement their endeavours.

They se m like a couple of exceptional people who have decided to use their fame and incredible good fortune to help others in meaningful ways. I wish them nothing but the best.
