Default Father's Day Memories - Original Song

My best thoughts of my dad are all around his 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk. Happy Father's Day, young and old.

What a touching, beautiful song. Really, really nice.

The slide player rocks.

Enjoyed your touching song. Great music supporting the vocals too. Your vocal is easy to listen to. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks folks. This song was from my first CD and I wasn't going to use it. It was long…this song was one of my best lessons in editing and trying to get the meat of the song but in about half the words.

It did help having Pete Grant play the electric lap steel. He played toured and recorded with folks like Hoyt Axton, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Peter Rowen and Willie Nelson to name a few. Always great to have talented friends. :-)

Stunning song! Your voice/style for some reason, reminded me of Cat Stevens.

BBWW:
Just got through listening to your songs on Reverb Nation. Some very nice, well-written tunes there and I truly enjoyed listening to a number of them. Congrats and thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks Dave.

Yeah I'm in the final throws of a new CD…just about done with the mix and master. It's hard for me to do CD's as I write what comes and one might be blues and one folk rock and might be country. This CD is going to have a hard left turn or two…I'm trying to straighten up the curves a bit.

Thanks so much for listening. I means a lot!

Thanks to RiversRubin and Jeremy as well.
