Default My Impressions of the Leviora Nylon String

I have had the Leviora Nylon two days. I put some fresh ProArtes on her. Let me preface that I am not a fan of these strings. A day later the strings are settling in. I am liking the sound but know I can get more out of her. I will be installing Oasis normal tension strings in two days.

The size of the guitar is similar to my Phoenix. It is well built and the Dragonbone top is gorgeous. It has a shimmer to it. The volume is excellent and the tone surprisingly good. I need more time with her and will be experimenting with several different brands of strings.

I do believe that we have a carbon fiber classical guitar that is a winner. Thomas, congratulations, brilliantly done!

I put on Oasis normal tension strings last night. This guitar has tremendous volume and has really surprised me. Anyone who likes nylon might want to try this on the road trip. It's a privilege to have a luthier built carbon fiber guitar.

Good stuff Lisa! Love the effect on the unidirectional CF the way Thomas lays it up.

I agree it looks almost like figured wood, very nice. What is he doing different?

Thomas uses Dragonbone. It is absolutely stunning.

So far, I have used the ProArte EJ46, Sevilla High Tension, Oasis normal tension and now Aquila Alabastro strings. I will record with the Aquilas tonight. Thus far, the ProArte strings sound the best, with a sweet sound and great volume. I will be insalling the D'Addario EXP 45s next, and then will get the guitar back to Kramster, who has been so kind to let me have it for so long!

This is Thomas's first nylon build, and expect that his future builds will be even better. If you want a treat, get this guitar on the road trip. Also, Thomas's steel string fan fret guitar is on the road trip.
