Default Need Info on Carbon Fiber Guitars

Hi all!

I need a camping guitar that I won't have to worry about humidification. So what are my options as far as carbon fiber guitars, and ones that might be more on the OM size?

Thanks for your help!

It seems like many are built with a 1 11/16 nut, and I want a 1 3/4 nut width.

Elderly has a Rainbow GA up for sale...the neck is bowed??? How can this happen with graphite?

The CA OX is more of an OM size if you can find one. I have settled on the CA Cargo after trying many travel guitars. I actually have two & might sell one if you decide that is what you want.

I don't know where you loked but most I have seen are 1-3/4".
Rainsong specs: http://www.rainsong.com/specs/
Composite Acoustic OX has 1-3/4" nut
Blackbird OM has 1-3/4" nut: http://www.blackbirdguitar.com/superom.html
Emerald X& has 1-3/4" nut : http://www.emeraldguitars.com/index....d=68&Itemid=83
Ovation Folkllore/Country typically wider nuts but have wood tops. Look on the Ovation site for any wider nut carbon/graphite top models. http://www.ovationguitars.com/

The Rainsong WS1000 at Elderly with slight neck bow, tough call. I would want to see the guitar first hand and talk with Rainsong and local repair person to see what the problem is and what the fix would entail. The Rainsongs I have looked at have bolts inside the neck/body joint. I don't know if this means the necks are removable or not. Check it out at the source -- Rainsong.

This is some of what Rainsongs says about their necks: Finally, extreme strength and stiffness and tight tolerances of Performance Shape Casting means that RainSong necks will never twist, warp, bow or need any adjustment whatsoever. Some RainSong necks feature truss rods only to allow customization of the neck relief to individual preferences.

heard great things about the CA OX. It is the OM size and 1 3/4 neck. Other CA option would be a X or Xi. You can get them in the used market. I love my full dred Legacy.
