Default Need Help to Fix Yamaha Piezo Pickup

Alright so I am very new in the world of guitars and I bought a yamaha acoustic electric about 1 month ago I picked it up off of my stand and I noticed that the tuner wasn't working. The power to the pickup is still working, I changed the battery, yet still nothing. I brought it to play this past Sunday and it wasn't picking up in the mix. If you could explain this to me and what I'm gonna need to do to fix it I would appreciate it!

Is the pickup plugged into the preamp? If it's a month ago, I'd return it for another one if you haven't crossed the 30-day mark. Even if you have, they'd probably still swap it for you.

I have passed the return date already... The pickup is plugged in. All the wires look fine.

This is the sad part about a lot of manufacturer installed on board electronics. Unless they are using something from a major manufacturer like Baggs or Fishman replacement parts can be almost impossible to find. You can start off by calling Yamaha at (888) 892-6242, Monday through Friday, from 7:30AM - 5:00PM Pacific Time (closed 12PM - 1PM). Have the model number and serial number for your guitar at hand.

I did a repair for an old CG101 Yamaha and needed a replacement preamp. Someone on AGF suggested I search through guitarhuggers.com and I found the old part.

If you can troubleshoot and identify the problem, check that site for parts.
