Default studio suggestions

I'm getting ready to record my second full length disk. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a good studio to try out. My first album I recorded at a friends studio. It turned out great, but I'm wanting to try something new.

Good question. I'm in central Kentucky, so I'm sure there are plenty of good studios "near" me. I'd be happy to drive 6 or 8 hours.

Not sure how far the Nashville area is from you. But I can unequivocally recommend Dave Martin at Java Jive Studios about 20 mi. North of Nashville.
Besides being a top flight engineer and producer He is also an extremely personable straight forward nice guy, no pretensions.
I recorded four demo cuts there and was very impressed with the helpful and totally pro attitude of Dave and the session players.
He recently engineered and produced his wife Carolyn's new album, which was nominated by the WMA as western swing album of the year.
Here is the link if you call him tell him Kevin from Wyoming sent you
