Default Martin 000-18

Decided to keep the ebony pins $1699 plus shipping. Shipping probably will work out to $50 east coast and $100 Midwest to west coast.

I guess this is why I don't buy sight-unseen.

Most return periods for forum sponsors are less than a week.

Good Luck on the sale!

I had a recent 000-18 and sold it-it was a nice tone but just a bit on the "soft" side for me...so I can understand the there are some examples that are better than others...

Don’t do it, you’ll regret it. Stick with the Martin.

There's too much Taylor hate on this forum. The 717 is a great guitar--if that's what he wants, more power to him. I always wonder why certain forum members are selling their Lowden's because I'd cut off an arm before I let mine go, but I don't hit up the sellers postings with comments like "don't do it" or "whatever you're buying instead isn't great."

Taste is taste.

I appreciate that! I posted on another thread that I feel like I've made guitar purchases over the past several years in search of a specific sound or tone. For example, I bought my J-45 because I like Chris Stapleton. Same with the D-18, but because Jason Isbell plays one. My 000-18 you see here was purchased to try and get a Julian Lage style tone. It gives me that tone, but not the skill haha!!!

The 717 was the first guitar that I've played in a LONG time where I didn't feel like I was searching for anything in particular....I just liked it.

Excellent people to emulate. I've actually seen Jason playing his Martin D18 Authentic 1939 a lot recently. Although he also has that killer D35 custom, not to mention that great signature D18.
