They are sticking to their old familiar formula. It works for them.

Default How did I miss them?

I discovered ABBA late in life. I guess I was busy making a living when they hit the US musical scene. In any case, I loved their music the second time around - or was it the third time? Either way, their distinctive style appeals to me.

Warmly comfortable and familiar, like slipping on a pair of old jeans. I like that they stayed with the old formula.

I don't like pop music. I don't care for dance tracks, synth beats, loops and such. I don't even care for female vocalists but for some reason, I have always been moved by the music of Abba. This new track sounds good. I'm glad to hear them again.

The Swede in the family is ecstatic. Their Eurovision win back in 1974 is one of those moments in time, like when Ingemar Johansson defeated Floyd Patterson. (There's still some gnashing of teeth around here over the women's soccer/football team's loss to Canada... )
