Has that magnetic pickup sound. That often rounds out and warms up the tone some. Mixed in well with mikes that can be a nice sound indeed.

I was lucky enough to see Thomas do his version at a house concert on his beat up Lowden not long before he released this video - jaw-dropping stuff.
