Silvius Leopold Weiss - Fantasia, Baroque Lute
Hello,
Here is a fantasia from Silvius Leopold Weiss, it is an unmeasured piece that can be found in different manuscripts, sometimes entitled Prelude. This writing is well-suited for improvisation (Bach and Weiss were even said to have competed in improvisation, although there is no historical proof of this...) The tonality (D minor) is the natural tuning of the Baroque lute. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kvQEo_nWeY

Absolutely stunning. I would love to hear the same piece played on a guitar, perhaps even as a duet.

For a classical guitar version, you can check Marko Zorec on YouTube, it is very clean. There are also many others interpretations done on 11-string or 13-strings classical guitar. Have a nice day!
