A three-song set, and then home.

I'd like to get better at throwing stuff away.

My wife is worse than me, and neither of us were around during the depression.

Stayed at home...alone.

Wrote a new song. It's a good one so that made up for my loneliness.

We were stuck in the Charlotte airport waiting for American to get some combo of a plane and crew to go to MSN.

I know these things happen but all the food vendors and shops were shutting down as we got out of customs and doing that hustle to your connecting flight. One heck of a lot of American employees didn't understand the idea of compassion or something to eat for the 3 people in our group ages 86-89. After 4 hours of it and also being told to not go far a less than happy manager got a bottle of water for us from a plane. I told the woman the drinking fountain works. The point was the all shops shut down crappy airport not having food for people who came from International flights and were pretty much helpless in their custody or customs for 18 hours.

After 5 gate changes the Charlotte airport staff also decided they evidently already gave enough help to the two who needed wheelchairs for the gate distances and we found them and did that on our own.

It's important to realize American flight crew and other airports have been fine. We've had repeat incidents with international to back home connections at the Charlotte airport.

The Charlotte Customs and TSA staff were great just like the American flight crews but if you needed a picture of not very smart people without compassion for elderly new year's eve in the Charlotte airport was the place.

After trying in vain to get tickets for the UVa/Marshall basketball game, we opted for an evening of Netflix. Went to bed around 11:15 PM and woke up to a new year....
