Another stunner Dave. And the French Polish is amazing. I know, and appreciate all the advice you gave me on FP, but after 8 guitars I gave up. And I'm a persistent sob. Lol. Russ

Should hopefully start having some finished shots of the guitar tomorrow.

Here's the first shot of the finished instrument. The sides are gorgeous, but the grain didn't match up at all at either end. The end graft helped tie things together, and it ended up having a sort of "impending prairie storm skyskape" sort of look in the end!

Well Dave, I don't see where the end grain doesn't match up. If anyone else can I would be surprised. Looks like the sides are all one piece not two, with the inlay done just for the beauty of it, not to join 2 pieces of wood !!! Lucky for you I live an hour and a bit away or I'd be bugging you to work with you again . Lol

Thanks Russ! I'm going to do a time lapse video of the end graft going together, in conjunction with the audio file, for the last post on this thread. You'll see the mismatch and then the hoops I jumped through to try to pull it together. Lots of fun!

The sides actually look like a single continuous piece of wood. Very impressive technical wizardry matched with pure artistic & design mastery!
