String Buzz on New Taylor 414ce-R after tightening Tuners

Just bought a new Taylor 414ce-R and noticed the tuning knob on the B was a little loose, so i tightened all the tuner screws. Not I'm getting buzz on the D and A strings (open) and I can't get it to go away.

I'm thinking I should just return it and try again. The guitar was playing perfectly before. I'm so bummed. Any suggestions?

Too many possibilities. I suggest OP take the guitar to the store and demonstrate/discuss his problem. And fiddle no more with it till the seller inspects the instrument.

My thought is that the tuner button adjust did nothing, and you're late to notice the open string buzz. Though it's a "new" Taylor and should be set up perfectly, I suspect the nut slots on the affected strings are just a little low, relative to one or more of the frets. Test with a tiny piece of paper in the slot (under the string) and see if the buzz goes away.

a] the string is played ''open''? .
or
b] when the same string is now fretted ?

a]= string bind= look to the nut[string slot[s] as being the cause here.
b]= fret buzz=look to the fret[s] as being the cause here.=uneven fret height[s]


a] is a simple rectification.use of a needle file here will suffice.+understanding.
b] is more labor intensive..[Leveling & Crowning the frets]+much more complete understanding required.
Both can be a DIY remedy,... without room for any error!!etc.but if unsure= pay another to now rectify & now RESOLVE..

Seeing as this is a new instrument, I suggest OP not touch the instrument with any tools till the seller inspects it. I'd hate for some owner-applied alterations to have poisoned the guitar's returnability.

I am getting older, and time does fly, but I think it's just a week. It does feel disrespectful when someone asks a question and then doesn't acknowledge the assistance. Perhaps the OP has been intubated, but I hope not.
