Default Rainsongs without cutaway and electronics

Is it possible to get one of the smaller bodies without electronics and cutaway? I haven't come across one in any of my searches.

And you probably won't come across one in your searches. You can order Rainsongs without electronics, but I doubt that you'll be able to alter the body shape if the standard is a cutaway. IMO Rainsong doesn't do a good job of letting potential customers know what can be special ordered. Ted https://www.laguitarsales.com is very accommodating about special ordering Rainsongs...

Thanks, I'll contact Ted. When I saw all of them with the same configuration I thought a custom might be a no go. Maybe adjusting their process is difficult with CF.

I don't know how experienced you are with Rainsong, but for my ears, I thought Composite Acoustic and McPherson to be better.

Just make sure you check them all out first.

I've been asking for an OM without a cutaway for years. Apparently the moulds RainSong uses for each body type are extremely expensive. Since that is a crucial part to their processes, introducing new moulds to their lineup would never justify the means.

A non-cutaway spruce-top Vintage or Nashville would be nice....

Don’t think you will find getting a custom CF from McPherson possible and I’ve never seen custom shapes from CA.

I had a similar question a few years ago which is why I ended up with a Blackbird Lucky 13 with no electronics over Rainsong. They stopped making these a year or two ago, but you might be able to pick one up used as I see them for sale occasionally. I don't plan to sell mine anytime soon though.

Having just bought a RainSong...There is very little customization possible...

The Wolf note it has aside, the playability and sound is amazing...I have a replacement unit coming in a couple weeks that the I pray does not have the same wolf note problems...

Love the size and feel of this guitar

No electronics is easy.

You cannot get a custom shape. (Well, I suppose you could, but a new aluminum mold for a new body shape is well over $50,000).
