Did your neighbor enjoy playing it for TWO DAYS??

I haven't seen one with a colored top, black back and sides - looking forward to photos and your impressions.

I liked my X7 immediately, right out of the box. Appreciate it even more with 6+ months of daily playing.

Congrats on the new arrival!

I'm happy to hear it's safely in your hands. Best thing about the carbon fiber is the spilled beer will have no effect other than maybe a bit sticky after it dries.

Thanks Captain Jim,

I laughed out loud at that one!

Hey Long Jon,

Congratulations on a great guitar. The X-7 is the most comfortable guitar I have ever played.

Thanks to all you well wishers.

I have been up since before 8 am this morning ... (This is starting to become a bad habit) and I could not wait to have a go on the X7 !
It's nestled in my lap now, even as I type this.

Had to wait 'til after 9 ( when I could hear next door up and about ), before *giving it some wellie !

This is a fantastic guitar ! Crisp, balanced, great intonation all over the neck, seems to have plenty of headroom and ergonomics out the wazoo !

I tweaked the truss rod for a little less forward bow and it now plays like Buddha.

It's almost got ....wait for it ..... too much sustain ! I know there was a thread discussing whether that was possible. . . Maybe so, IMO.
I think the strings on it now are light gauge, I might try some medium PBs or monels next and see how she likes them.

I've got a cheapo phone, no camera, I will try and dig out the cam from the bottom of whichever drawer it's in and take some piccies, right now I just wanna play it.

I'm interested in a/b ing it's voice against my GS Mini (and another Taylor 312 that I'm going to sell). Unfortunately I've got a busy day ahead, (doing boring grown-up stuff), so it'll have to wait.

ANDY Moustache ! Sorry, To answer you seriously, mostly I got it cuz I am just a sucker for "stuff" and haven't bought a guitar for a couple of years, so, why not ?
(Happily divorced, so not subject to the usual regulations)

I have yet to try the built in pick up through my Fishman Loudbox Artist, but assuming it works OK, this could become my weapon of choice for open mics and jamming with the gang.
