I subscribe the Pete Thorn's channel and watched the video. Fantastic player.

He did a great job with that demonstration. Best thing is that he didn't have to shred or show off, just play those chords and make his point.

I always had high hopes that Eddie would collaborate more with other musicians and writers, or even release some solo material. It wasn't to be.

Van Halen's music was fun and the early stuff was amazing for what it was, but I always thought Eddie had more music in him than standard theme rock stuff. The later years of that band were almost sad to me. It would have been cool if their music had matured a bit as the guys grew older. Didn't happen. Imagine if Eddie had explored instrumental music, fusion, or even acoustic based work more deeply than we got to hear.
