Default MIDI Pro 2 guitar.

MIDI guitars have been around for a while but this new model by Rob O'Reilly raises the bar in terms of functionality and versatility.

Ordinarily I'm not drawn to this type of thing but in this case I want one.

I've used MIDI guitar for awhile now. As the video presenter states, it makes sense as controller for string instruments. So I often use to mimic various ethnic string instruments, and it's reasonably good for bowed strings too.

This MIDI guitar has a lot of bells, whistles, buttons, an XY pad, piezo out, etc etc. -- might be a bit too much muchness even for those who like to use MIDI with a guitar. But that's a matter of workflow and taste.

The presenter seems to mention "fret sensing technology" indicating that it may not use the Roland-like pickups that work from sensing string vibration right next to or incorporated into the bridge. I'm not sure how they are doing that. Some early MIDI guitar designs used segmented frets that that were in effect switches so that when the string presses down on the fret top it was if a key was pressed on a keyboard or touch strip. Those usually couldn't do conventional string vibrato (if you bent the B string, it'd bend over the G string and sound that note in such a system), but in the demo he shows it tracking string bends.

Obviously not for everyone, but an interesting product!

Is that a 13 pin connector?

Looks like it has USB and 5 pin MIDI out, as well as mag pickup and piezo outputs.

It achieves note detection via fretboard scanning. Still 10ms latency which is not great...

Only 3000 euros.

It's a terrific instrument.
Not 13-pin GK, it's 5-pin MIDI ... plug straight into your synth.
Wired frets as well as bridge pickups makes tracking very accurate.
Latency not noticeable in practice (I'm no shredder)
