Size Comparison Artisan X20 with Gibson EC-20
I think the EC-20 is the same size as a J-185. People keeping asking me about how the Artisan sounds compared to my Gibson's. We'll, I don't think it sounds "like" any of the Gibson's, but it's as loud and full sounding like a big Gibson. As you can see, it's a much smaller guitar too. I like the sound and feel of the Emerald's enough that they're building me a Custom Artisan, Ebony, short scale, thin neck, 1 11/16 nut. My ultimate lead acoustic!
This is the view I play to while down in Mexico. Only my fingers get tired of this!

Puerto;
Nice, to the point, comparison. And congratulations on your new guitar build. What will be your body/sides coloration? |

Honestly, I got so caught up in the top of the guitar, I never gave the sides and back a moments thought! I should probably ask!

Yes, you should. The face is half the style battle. I, too, like the ebony and have an order in. Deciding what I want for the sides and back has been a long process. I'd like cream with gold hardware and a gold hound.

Very nice! If you're like me, you find the X20 to be more comfortable than a larger guitar, too... while not giving up anything in tone and volume.
Oh, and gorgeous view, too! |
